The Future of Inexpensive Computing

300px-RaspberryPiLately the cost of different new technologies seems to be going up and it can be hard for normal people to get the newest types of IT. Fortunately there are always people out there who are trying to find new ways around these costs. A perfect example of this are the creators of Raspberry Pi who are based in the UK. Raspberry Pi is a small, inexpensive computer that is great for anyone who cannot ordinarily buy the more expensive technologies that are out there such as Apple’s MacBook Pro. The computer has only the basics, with now extravagant features. There is a USB and HDMI port and about 512mb of RAM on each unit. Since there is not a lot of extra features Raspberry Pi is able to be sold for as little as $25.The computers were originally intended for people who wished to learn how to code as the inventors wanted to make the resources needed to learn much more accessible. And it seems like all their hard work has paid off! There are many schools who have thousands of these small computers so that their students can learn off of them. The units are very versatile as well, with people having connected many of them to create super computers at a fairly small cost or there are people who try to run Linux or Android software on the computer as well. Let’s hope to see this small company to continue to make progress as they innovative and try new things with these awesome computers.
